Varanasi Heritage Walking Half Day Tour With Morning Ganga Aarti

  • The ghat is adorned with several temples and shrines dedicated to various deities. The prominent one is the large Shivalinga (a representation of Lord Shiva) under a peepal tree. The ghat is not only a religious site but also a cultural center.
  • It is a hub for various cultural activities, including music and dance performances, yoga and meditation sessions, and traditional rituals. Assi Ghat has a serene and spiritual atmosphere, making it a favorite spot for tourists and spiritual seekers. • Rani Laxmi Bai Janmasthali: 
  • Explore the Rani Laxmi Bai Janmasthali in Varanasi. Rani Lakshmibai was born on 19 November 1828 and some sources say 1835 in the town of Varanasi into a Karhada Brahmin family. She was named Manikarnika Tambe and was nicknamed Manu. Her father was Moropant Tambe and her mother was Bhagirathi Sapre.
• Akhara Goswami Tulsidas/Tulsi Ghat: 
  • Take a walk to explore the Akhara Goswami Tulsidas (traditional gym). Tulsi Akhada located close to Tulsi ghat at Varanasi was set up by none other than the Goswami Tulsi Das, whose house is located not too far from the Tulsi Akhada.   • Proceed towards Manikarnika ghat, a famous ghat of Naga Sants (naked saints). Note that visitors are not allowed to go inside or meet them. Manikarnika Ghat is one of the prominent ghats (steps leading to the river) along the sacred Ganges River in Varanasi, India.
